I realised today that I forgot to mention in my post about the first Storm Home Game, one of the highlights of going.
A friend of mine, Scott, is every bit the Royalist. Anything to do with the British Royal family he is all over it. Actually, anything to do with England - he is all over it.
Before each Storm home game the Australian National anthem is played. Fair enough too. We are Australian, after all. Everyone stands and some people even sing along with "Advance Australia Fair" quite well. For others it's a time of mumbling or simply opening and closing their mouth periodically to give the illusion of singing and the further illusion that they indeed know the words.
This is not the case for Scott though. For Scott, it is the time to sing, with great gusto, "GOD SAVE THE QUEEN"!
In a previous post, I'd written how excited I was to be at the Commonweatlth Games Opening Ceremony with The Queen. At the time, I seriously didn't think Scott read my Blog and therefore I was safe in mentioning such a fact. Oh boy, was I wrong...
My 'outing' as a closet Royalist was a public one, with Scott presenting me with the framed photo of The Queen, pictured above.Cool, eh?
Thanks Scott :)

Katy, It was and is my pleasure. You know that any little thing that anyone that we sit with lets something out of the bag it has to be taken advantage off.....remember some tent pegs?
Hope you enjoy it ;)
