Saturday night I was kindly invited to dinner on the Dark Side of Town - North of the Yarra River - with Scott and Trent's family. It was quite the party. I picked up Lisa and Ryan (Scott went to see Essendon lose... again), Caz, Trent & Campbell were staying the night and Clayton & Rachel also came to visit.
Marion made a lovely dinner - as always - of roast lamb, vegies and the big favourite of the night, a tomato and onion bake.
I have to admit I just love visiting that family and their home. You know, I really was the ODD one out on Saturday night. I mean, I'm not a part of their family and I was the only one there who wasn't. However, it never, ever occurred to me - and I doubt it ever will - to feel uncomfortable or awkward or out of place. Every single family member has a way to make you feel so welcome and as if you do belong. It's very cool. Thanks guys.
