Tractor Tippin' Good Times...

Samantha and Nick were kind enough to take their aunt (me!) to the movies today. On my request, we went to see the new Disney-Pixar film, CARS.

It had all the elements of a classic Pixar:

  • Sweet Story.
  • Way cool characters.
  • Pretty, pretty pictures.
  • A rockin' soundtrack.
  • Laughs for the kids.
  • Laughs for the 'big' kids.
  • Laughs for the 'bigger' kids.

My favourite part? "Tractor Tippin'" for sure!
Not sure why I was the only one in the cinema who laughed when Mater first mentioned this particular form of entertainment. Perhaps I've seen one too many American Teen movie...

Andrew and Lisa took Adelaide to see Cars last week, and Andrew reported here that it's "definitely Pixar's best". I'm sure Andrew would have appreciated a couple of the guest 'appearances' in the movie.

Cars is up there, that's for sure. However, I'd have to rate it just below Finding Nemo and Toy Story. Perhaps once I've seen Cars as many times as I've 'found' Nemo I'll re-evaluate my standing ;)

We have seen it twice now Kate. I think it might just possibly be our "Titanic." :-) How many times do we need to see it? 16 times? No problem!

I so did not see Titanic 16 times at the cinema...It was only 13 times. Or maybe 14. Possibly 15. Definitely no more then 15 :)

Cars was very good. I can understand you wanting to see it again.

I must say it's made be look forward to my holiday in the USA even more. I was planning on driving from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon so I think I'll just have to check out Route 66 on the way. I wonder if Radiator Springs is listed on MapQuest...
