I happened to wander into the OPs room just before five o'clock so, naturally, one of the guys assumed I'd come in to watch Dr Quinn: Medicine Woman. He flicked the channel over but Little House on the Prairie was still on. Now, I've never watched Little House so all I know about it is that the dude in it also played an angel in Highway to Heaven. And that's where it started.

Of course, no one remembered Metal Mickey... Not many people do. However, since it was around from 1979-1981, perhaps I am showing my age just a little too much.

I remember Metal Mickey - did he call the grandmother 'my little fruit bat' or was it her grandson that used that expression
i vaguely remember watching Metal Mickey with my brother when i was very young :)
I definately remember Metal Mickey. Andrew does too. We think Mickey called the Grandma Fruitbat.
How funny we all remember the "My little fruitbat" line :) I'd love to see an episode of it now. Unfortunately, no DVD...
