Suspicious. What day is it? What month is it?

It's SERENITY day!

It gives me great pleasure to share with you the news that, on this the 8th day of February Two Thousand and Six, the R4 Serenity DVD officially hits the stores in Australia. SHI-NY!

"...And then Joss created Serenity and on the 8th day it was released and all the World did rejoice."

Yeah, well, OK, so not the whole World , just us enlightened ones who walk it ;) As they say in the classics there are two types of people in this World -- "Those who have found Serenity and those who have not." Eh? Nobody says that...

I ordered a copy through EZYDVD (first day available for pre-order) just so I could get a shiny tin. It was a hard choice because I'd really love the mouse mat from Dick Smith Powerhouse but really can't justify paying $29.99 for a mouse mat -- but with a free DVD thrown in -- maybe?

I got a R1 copy from Amazon when it was released in the States but it only has one disc. "Our" version has two :) Can't wait to see the extra extras.

Next will be the wait for the special 4-disc version to be released in the USA :) How many copies of the one movie is too many? Of course, it's always good to have a back-up copies -- especially if one of the back-up copies has a FULL CAST COMMENTARY. That would be the extra to beat all extras. How hi-larious would it be! Of course, it would end up being a Nathan Fillion, Joss Whedon and Alan Tudyk commentary because no one else could get a word in edgewise! Fingers crossed I'm not the only one who thinks this extra would be a great idea :) The two versions I currently own are sans above mentioned FULL CAST COMMENTARY so I guess I'll be capping the collection at 3.
