- Went to work. Ever so exciting.
- Bought new, and very white, runners at lunch time.
- Was disgusted to find that the brilliant Veronica Mars has been taken off, only to be replaced by Friday Night Games on Channel 10. I've never seen such a load of rubbish in all my life. Disgraceful.
- Excited to find out that two of the DVDs I'd ordered from Canada were ready to ship -- Gilmore Girls & Veronica Mars. Unfortunately I will have to wait until Battlestar Galactica is also ready to ship before they are sent.
- Packed for Weekend in Griffith
Saturday 18 February 2006
- Emma and I left for Griffith for the Trial Game between Parramatta Young Guns and Melbourne Storm (Junior Team).
- On the way to Griffith we stopped to visit Carolyn, Trent and Campbell. Campbell is getting bigger and bigger. He holds his head up pretty well, but not for any length of time. All those brains must be really heavy!
- Emma and I also stopped in Shepparton at Circle of Friends scrapbook shop. Great shop. I'm glad I don't live in Shepparton -- they did TOO well out of both of us.
- It was the first time either of us had been to Griffith. It seemed a nice enough town in the middle of nowhere. We didn't actually get to see a great deal of it - Just driving down Main street, the motel, the Sports Ground and McDonalds.
- Parramatta defeated Storm 30-24. Nathan Friend and Greg Inglis (G.I. Joe) were probably the stand outs for Storm.
- Norman Bates played for Storm. Well, at least someone with the same name as the person who played Norman in the original movie Psycho -- Anthony Perkins.

- On the way home we stopped in Nagambie for Chicken Kievs at the Nagambie Lakes Entertainment Centre. Yum!
- We've always assumed that inside these particular Chicken Kievs there is butter, garlic and some sort of melty/soft cheese. This time I asked about what kind of cheese. The answer: There is no cheese - just butter. I swear, the filling is way too thick to be 'just' butter.
- Now the Kievs are not only delicious but also somewhat mysterious.

- Went to work. Ever so still exciting
- Researched the driving part of my holiday to the USA. Found distances and travel times between Las Vegas, Flagstaff (Grand Canyon), Roswell, White Sands and Truth or Consequences. I'm up for some long driving days, that's for sure.
- Soon after giving www.mapquest.com a work out I got distracted by some X-Files Fanfic on the Internet. What the? I haven't for so long. But, hey, I did watch a few Season 9 episodes the other night so that might explain it ;)
