Hey, no boat mentioned in the title of this post!

Gorramit, I've seen that movie way to many times... Never!
My return airfare to San Francisco is booked and paid for.
So are the flights from New York - Orlando and Miami - Las Vegas.
I've got my Amtrak 15 Day National Railpass that will take me to new and exciting places such as (in order):
- San Francisco
- Seattle
- Minneapolis
- Boston
- Portland (Maine -- hopefully, otherwise it's a Greyhound, baby!)
- Providence
- Mystic
- New York.
I just need to reserve a seat on the individual trains between the cities. Yep that is a 'seat', not a 'bed'. No such luxury on this trip.
We still need to arrange the car rental in Orlando that will allow us to drive down to Miami and I also need to arrange my own car rental out of Las Vegas so I can drive to the Grand Canyon, Roswell and Truth or Consequences -- Cool name or what?

Maybe you can take one of our bears or something and do the Amelie Gnome thing? Anyway, looks wonderful Katy. :-)
Bradley Bear is going with me so you never know. Perhaps he would enjoy some beary company on the trip :)
Now you just have to hang in there until departure time. It will come pretty quickly I'm sure - the year is flying past already.
I guess the pressure is on me now to book & pay for my tickets although I cannot do this until August 8 and will do first thing when I get to work that day.
When I'm home in Brisbane I'll book my flights & rail for travel within USA, Canada & Sweden.
Scotty Bear is definitely going and we might even stop at the Bear factory in Gettysburg PA too! He can also keep Bradley Bear company in New York & Florida :)
