According to EZYDVD, Seasons 1 & 2 of this fantabulously entertaining show will be released on April 05, 2006. About gorram time!
Silly thing is, it's still cheaper to purchase it from Amazon at US$29.96 per season then it is from EZYDVD at AU$59.99 per season -- Even after allowing for postage and exchange rate.
Tell you one thing, purchasing Season 5 from Amazon is a given for me. Looks like we'll have a hell of a wait before seeing the remainder of Season 5 on Channel Eddie. Eddie & Co have once again made it abundantly clear they have absolutely no respect for their viewers by finishing this summer's run with episode 7 on Saturday night. It's just all kinds of wrong. I'd like to see them end the AFL season at Round 7 -- Hang on, didn't Channel 9 lose the rights to the AFL? What do they call that? Karma?
Due to the contrast between my tastes and the programming trends of the average Australian television station, my Amazon Wish List is getting quite long;
- Gilmore Girls - Season 5
See above. - Gilmore Girls - Seasons 1, 2, 3 & 4
See above. - Battlestar Galactica - Season 2.0
Apparently Channel 10 have no plans to show the second season of this excellent sci-fi series due low ratings during the first season. I have to admit I didn't watch it on TV but thanks to a recommendation by Wil Wheaton on Radio Free Burrito Episode One (I think it was ep.1) and the wonders of DVD I was able to catch up with the crew of Galactica very quickly. Very, very good show. - Veronica Mars - Season 1
OK, so this one is still showing on Channel 10 so I probably don't need to rush out an buy it just yet. I'm not sure how it is rating but I hope to Joss that it rating it's little bobby soxs off because I so need to see the end.
Another excellent show I began watching after hearing/reading the great Joss Whedon refer to Veronica Mars as the "...BEST. SHOW. EVER...." Hey, if the creator, writer, producer and director of my two 'Favourite. Shows. Ever.' likes it I figured it was worth giving it a shot. So far it hasn't disappointed. (BTW -- 'Favourite. Shows. Ever. = Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Firefly) - The Sentinel - Season 1
"The who?" I hear you say. A very entertaining series made around the mid to late 1990s. It was shown late night on Channel 7 in Australia for a few years but the last episode they screened was mid-season 3. I am yet to see the rest of Season 3 or any of the very short Season 4. This show was cancelled in the USA after Season 3 however it ended with such a cliffhanger ("He's not dead, he's just damp!") I believe they were allowed to make 8 episodes or so to tie it all up.
After X-Files this is the show that really got me into Fanfic. (Don't mock, there's some seriously talented writers out there!) Anyway, there was this huge campaign by the fans to get it put on DVD and here it is. It's not released until April 18 but after waiting since 1999 (that's when channel 7 last screened an episode) I don't think another 2.5 months is going to kill me.
Unfortunately, every item on the Wish List is "Bigger then a Postage Stamp" (it's all about the space, or lack there of).
Why can't I just like Reality TV, CSI, CSI:L&O and CSI:SVU???
According to an amusing article about the future of Television, I don't think I have much more to look forward. However, Serenifly I could definitely handle seeing but not downloaded through my iHole. That just sounds painful.

Thanks Kate, I can now leave comments.
At your suggestion months back I started watching this Veronica Mars show so I have hopefully helped out a little in those ratings. :)
